Symptoms contributing to the decline in memory caused by brain damage, falls under the term called ‘dementia’. It affects mostly the elderly and it has no known cure. This project is aimed to design spaces within a chosen HDB block, integrated with the elements of art, since art is known to help enhance their behavior, mood and acts as a bridge of communication.

 

The focused design would be on residential, ground floor, leisure area and exhibition space, with each one of the spaces contributing highly in the well-being of the elderly with dementia.
